Anthony is the Broker/Owner-CEO of Lamacchia Realty and is from and currently resides in Watertown, Massachusetts. He started as a real estate agent in 2004 after spending his childhood and early adult life working at his father’s Landscape Construction Company. It was there that he first learned about business development and management and what it takes to build, design, and showcase homes. He was responsible for all of the large scale landscape construction, masonry and asphalt paving projects. Anthony obtained a Massachusetts builders license in 2003 and has kept it up ever since to remain current and informed on the latest updates in residential building codes.
After buying his first property at age 21 and several more properties by age 23, he readily realized the real estate industry was where he wanted to spend his life. In 2004, he made the jump into real estate sales with the very agent who helped him buy and sell a few of those properties: John McGeough. Anthony hit the ground running and had immediate success selling numerous properties. In 2005, he and John established McGeough Lamacchia Realty Inc. with the help of their first employee, Sarah Chaisson, who is now the Vice President of the company. Since then, the company has experienced significant growth.
In September of 2014, Anthony became the sole owner of Lamacchia Realty as John decided to get back into commercial and residential development projects. Currently, Anthony spends his time running the company, training agents, and continues to advise buyer and seller clients. He is completely obsessed and passionate about providing all the agents and employees in the company with top notch technology and all the best possible tools available to leverage their time and excel at their job. In 2014 he invested heavily in the Salesforce CRM platform which is the greatest CRM in the world. Anthony’s idea was to build a customized system that the agents could use to their advantage and management could run the company on both from the office and with its excellent mobile capabilities. Anthony continues to work hard with his management team to consistently find ways to improve this system.
Anthony is involved and very passionate about advocating for home ownership, real estate development, tax policies related to Real Estate and fellow Realtors. He has traveled to Washington, DC to meet with members of Congress, Senators and various regulatory agencies to defend homeownership, distressed homeowners and mortgage lending. In 2008, when the market fell apart and many distressed homeowners needed short sales; Anthony established relationships with executives at several of the nation’s largest banks and Government Sponsored Enterprises. He made it a priority to seek out the right people all over the country to ensure that clients of Lamacchia Realty were properly taken care of.
Anthony serves on many committees and groups within the Realtor Organization. He is part of the Government Affairs Committee with the Massachusetts Association of Realtors® which he’s served on since 2012, and joined the Greater Boston Association of Realtors Government Affairs committee in 2016.
